Excellent Series

  
Excellent series dolls A - N are articulated dolls made out of hard plastic. They are 27 cm or 11 and 1/2 inches tall (1/6th scale). Each doll has 15 points of articulation and comes with the SH-03 vinyl head and an extra pair of feet unless otherwise noted. Each doll has screw holes visible on the back of the but they also come with flesh colored hole plugs to cover up the screws. They are poseable and they can rotate most joints almost 360 degrees. They can also sit with their legs cross, which is a plus for those who are frustrated with other jointed doll bodies. The Excellent dolls vary in bust size, bottom type and height.
In 2000, Volks offered the Excellent series A and B in a dark tan skin tone which was a limited edition run. Later they offered all Excellent figures in a white skin tone along with the normal skin tone.
In 2002 Volks retired many of their Excellent series. The few that remained were renewed in body design and dubbed "New EB". Excellent bodies are gloss finished and have a visible gap between their hip and thigh. With the New EB, this gap was closed and the body was given a matte finish. The New EB body types are available in three skin tones: Normal, White and Tan. It it still possible to find loose Excellent series bodies, however they are no longer sold by Volks Inc..
Excellent Mini series A - F are 22cm or 8 and 1/2 inches tall (1/6th scale). Each doll has 15 points of articulation and come with a mini head UFH-04 unless otherwise noted. All mini series figures have a spring loaded core that keeps the torso tight and restricted.
