1/6th Scale / Barbie / Dolls / Friends / Goodies / Yayness!

Mine all mine!!

I went over to Sherri’s house today to pick up her camera and see all the good things she managed to get at the International Fashion Doll Convention that took place last weekend here in Dallas. Seems like I missed out on a lot of goodies and a lot of doll friends, and I’m really bummed that I didn’t go. But these are a few things that were passed along to console me. XD

I don’t know what the deal was… but David passed this to Sherri to dig through. After Sherri dug through it, she gave it to me. Those who know me well know I’m a junky. I’ll take ANYTHING you don’t need and I’ll keep it, even if I don’t need or want it. XD Junky junky. I suppose these are pieces that David had used for a table gift from a past convention or something like that because there are SOOOOO many duplicates of these pieces. Anyone want a duplicate? Lemme know and I’ll send it to you. The last picture are pieces of a My Scene Nolee outfit that Sherri gave me and also the boy’s urban outfit designed by Rudi and David. We’ll see how well it fits one of my boys. The only problem is that the brown ribbon on the jacket seems to bleed. The t-shirt is stained a little yellow. I don’t mind though, overall it’s a great outfit and the shoes are too cute.

Now… what’s the deal with these, I don’t know. But I think they’re cool… it’s about time someone caught onto the make your own doll thing that Japan has been long into. These are produced by Integrity Toys and I think this is the first production run of these dolls. It’s comes with a blank body that has bendy arms and jointed wrists, click knees… blank rooted Integrity Sooki mold head and an extra spool of hair to streak the head with. The whole deal is to treat it just like a Volks or Azone kit. The instructions teach you how to paint and root and even comes with a dress pattern for you doll. SMART Integrity! While it cries out Volks, NDR and Azone… somehow I don’t mind. I think it’s about time this kind of thing hit the US market. Kudos to whoever thought of this (probably my friend Suzanne) They run for $12.99 and will be available soon I think!

And finally the grand finale, my dearest friend David (ya’ll know him as rufusblue) sent… what I believe is his first Volks custom doll to me as a gift! *screams* I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE this girl!! She’s soooo cute and David did an EXCELLENT job on her, rooting and painting! I was whining to David when he first made her that she was soooooo damn cool and that I wanted her. I was kind of joking (okay I totally wasn’t joking but that’s besides the point) but I didn’t expect him to part with her. When Sherri showed me I was bouncing up and down!!! I’m soooo happy to have her and she gets to hang up there next to Kyon’s doll and threaten him with her punkygirly looks. I think Sherri was a little jealous but she got an Totoco Afro Kisara from David as a present which was just as cool. So we were both happy. We love our teddy bear David!!!
