Dolls / Ramblings & Musings

Irrashaimase!!!

You know… everyone knows I’m a total floater. I study a lot of things, but I don’t actually stick to something. I’m very fickle and I constantly need something fresh and new to keep me going. I work on several projects at once because otherwise I’d get too bored and never touch that single project again. That’s why I get so bored doing desk jobs. Even at my last job as a multimedia artist (fancy title for not a lot of work) I got bored a lot with the creative stuff they had me doing.

But there’s *one thing* that I’ve been wanting to do forever now and now more than ever I feel I want to do it. I want to open a doll shop! Like a real, come in the door and the little bells on the doorknob jingle and I sing “irrashaimase!” when you walk through the door.

*dies* I would be SO HAPPY doing that. I can just see my beaming face to my first customer. I’d have to give a pair of shades because I’d be glowy all over.

I know… that running a doll store, or any store for that matter isn’t easy. It’s actually nothing BUT trials and frustration and little income. But I think it would be the one thing I’d enjoy doing no matter what. I listen to Frank on the phone all the time, telling me about problem customers and such. Evelyn’s always saying what a hard time she’s having making ends meet every month. I’d probably be in the poor house all the time, but I’d be a happy bum!

Frank asked me to move to Florida and work for him for a while. His timing was bad since I’m in school and such so I had to decline his offer. *cries* But OMG I would have so jumped in my car and went otherwise!!! Working at the Doll Hobby. *faints* I would be his best employee ever!!!! I told him let me know again around christmas or summer time if he needs me. I’d be free to go help him then.

*gets all dreamy* Of course, in my store I would sell Volks, Azone, Obitsu and the likes. And lots and lots of clothes and accessories.

My store would have lots of natural light in it. Lots of windows. And I’d have pretty baskets for displays and cute dioramas and things in peppermint colored stripes. And everything would be done with so much attention to the details… the Japanese way (cuz otherwise I’d get a lot of flack from my mother who’d probably be in there every other day just to see how I was doing). And if I wasn’t tending to something immediately in the store, I’d be sweeping the floor.

And I’d wear a little working apron with my store icon on it. And I’d wear cute peppermint striped stockings.

*froths* XD Hey I can dream yes???
