sewing in the morning?

This morning I woke up around 8, which is waaay early for me, to the sound of the sewing machine outside my room. My mother was making something so I dragged myself outta bed to see what was up. Her client cancelled out in the morning today so she didn’t have to go to work. So instead, she thought she’d sew some go guy shirts for me to sell on my website (ah! It’s the start of my doll store XD! Peppermint stockings here I come!) These are the same style as the one that is on the ebay boy in the entry below. She made two shirts and a pair of socks and then quit for the morning.

Well I tried em on the go guy and it was waaay too big. Hahaha the length of the shirt and sleeves was too long. Made the go guy look so short. My mom doesn’t know where she went wrong. But this evening she made another shirt that fit correctly… But the neck hole is too big, go figure. So now I have 3 unsellable, but still usable shirts. It cracked me up though, is that the sleeves on this shirt are uneven too. Boooy sewing in the morning is not good for my mom I guess. XD But this shirt that this (nameless) girl is wearing in the photos looks good on her!! The sleeves are an inch and a half too long (yea that’s how bad she was off LOL) though, but it’s fashionably like a oversized boyfriend’s shirt. Well duh, I guess that’s what it technically is. hahaha.

She said tomorrow she will try again.

Ahahahaha
Marta and I were just chatting about this shirt and I said something about it looking like a straight jacket with how long the sleeves are. The sleeves don’t reach that far to tie behind the back… But it brought up the memories of our older brothers tying our shirts sleeves behind us and leaving us to wander the house when we were little. Hahaha so sad that we both experienced it. Must be another one of those brotherhood pre-requisites.
